Position Title and Location
Supply Chain Co-ordinator – Shenzhen
Position Description:
Responsible for the management of the Asian vendor base, specifically in relation to the effective operation of all supply chain processes affecting the timely delivery of products.
1. Act as the central point of contact between the UK inventory team and the Asian vendor base.
2. Provide on a weekly basis a detailed report to the UK inventory team detailing the delivery status on all open purchase orders with Asian vendors.
3. Highlight any issues that may affect the timely delivery of products.
4. In conjunction with the UK inventory team, develop action plans to mitigate late delivery issues.
5. In conjunction with the Asian merchandising team, implement and maintain key supplier performance data, ensuring that accurate information is communicated both to the vendor base and the merchandising team.
6. Identify and propose actions to remedy poor delivery performance, ensuring such actions are implemented and reported on.
7. Continually strive to reduce supply chain costs through the reduction of lead times, together with the reduction and elimination of minimum order quantities.
8. In conjunction with companies supply chain partners, ensure that shipments are consolidated as effectively as possible, with the ultimate objective of eliminating LCL and 20’ container shipments.
9. Work pro-actively with the local CCC team to identify value added supply chain opportunities within the CCC.
Past Experience:
1. Self starter, capable of working under own initiative.
2. Experience in dealing with Asian vendors.
3. Detailed understanding of modern supply chain principles, particularly in relation to globally sourced extended lead time commodities.
4. Familiar with modern ERP systems.
5. Fluent in English.
Education & Training:
College degree and a minimum of three years experience as a supply chain co-ordinator.
